Alright, so the bunnies and llamas do not keep me busy every moment of the day. As much as I love them, I still need more! Housework just is not fulfilling, so I must occupy my time with crafts. At a recent rabbit show, I decided to try donating a needle felted sweatshirt to the raffle they usually have. Since this was a two day show, I donated two of them. The response to them was flabergasting! There was curiosity about what it was I was doing (since I was working on Sunday's sweatshirt on Saturday and a different sweatshirt on Sunday), did I give lessons, how did I learn this and the list of quetions grew as more and more people stopped to watch. I finally decided that perhaps there was something of a demand for this. Ok, so I'm a slow learner.. but I DO learn! Let's hope there is a demand, because I am now in the planning and preparation stages of taking these things to a fiber show. Hopefully, I will be having for sale, kits on how to make three different designs, needle holders, needle carriers, and roving packages. I would like to know from you, if there is an interest in any of the things here I am hoping to offer. Eventually, I will offer the kit of the original flag with buns that were raffled off... or, should I leave those as originals? Hmmm... Well, I have two of the three sweatshirts done, or nearly so and I have pictures of them to share with you. Again, please send me your input. I am hoping to get a class together also. If you are interested, please leave your comments in my guestbook and I will get back to you. I am making a Guest Book exclusively for this page for just this reason. |

These are a little difficult to see here, but above is a snowman with a flag, cardinal, squirrel and, what else? A bunny all looking at old Glory. Our snowman, I think is getting a warm feeling inside (not good for snow people) because he gets to hold the flag. To the left, is a brand new, for me, soft sculpture. This is Big Wiz. Little Wiz is right next to him, but I like Big Wiz better, and, since this my webpage, I can do whatever I like! |
Still a little hard to see, but here are some shots of the details on the snowman shirt and one of the wizard. It is hard to see that these are nearly three dimensional figures. Big Wiz has lights within him, so that is why he looks so yellow. |
Here is the latest addition to our little fiber menagerie. So far, I also have a bunny in a Santa suit and a bunny in a turkey suit. They are fun to make. I hope they will sell at the art fair we are about to go to after Thanksgiving. |
